BENITA BIKE’S DANCEART COMPANY ANNOUNCES PEFORMANCE AT DISCOVERY CUBE LOS ANGELES’ NEW SCIENCE OF DANCE WEEKEND!

Benita Bike’s DanceArt returns to the stage presenting a contemporary dance show to a live Los Angeles audience on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2:00 pm. Known for its elegant performance and dramatic use of space and gesture, the quartet will present an immersive performance during Discovery Cube’s new Science of Dance Weekend taking place on Feb. 26 & 27 at Discovery Cube Los Angeles, 11800 Foothill Blvd, Sylmar, CA 91342. Explore the choreography, the story within, and the curious observations of life, and share different perspectives on this engaging, educational dance performance, featuring a selection of new and fan favorite dances:

  • Excerpt from New Work-in-Progress – See what we’re coming up with!
  • Benches – an immersive park scene to imagine the lives of the people you see
  • On Beat 3 – a trio of driving percussive rhythms and off-balance movement
  • Duet from “Entrelazadas” – two women in a storm to music by Rodrigo

This performance of Benita Bike’s DanceArt is made possible in part by grant from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Discovery Cube’s Science of Dance Weekend will take place Feb. 26 – 27, and Benita Bike’s DanceArt performance will take place on Feb. 26, 2:00 pm.
Tickets to this performance are required, and they are FREE! They may be obtained by pre-registering: Email [email protected] with your name and the number in your party. Anyone purchasing a general admission ticket to the Discovery Cube on the day of the performance may also attend this show. Admission to this performance is also included in all levels of Discovery Cube membership.
In observance of state and local guidelines, Discovery Cube has instituted several health and safety protocols, including: all guests over the age of 3 are required to wear a mask or face covering during your visit, proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test with 72-hours prior to the visit, hand sanitizer stations available throughout the facility.
