Jay Carlon is a site-sensitive choreographer and community organizer based in Los Angeles. Born and raised on California’s Central Coast, Carlon’s work is inspired by growing up the youngest of 12 in a Filipino, Catholic, and agricultural migrant-working family. In 2016, he formed CARLON, a performance group that explores the ways in which art and sustainability intersect, and amplifies our personal and collective journeys toward decolonization. Jay's work has been presented throughout the US and internationally, and he was named Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch. Jay has performed and choreographed works with the Metropolitan Opera, Palissimo, Oguri, No)one. Art House, Annie-B Parson, Solange Knowles, Kanye West, Gerard & Kelly, and at the 2014 Olympics and the 2018 Super Bowl.
