“Continuing the Legacy - 42 Years in the Making” premieres February 25, 2024, with an in-studio showing of two classic works from the JSDC repertoire. Seating is limited to only 40 guests who will be the first to see the newly re-created work, “Chameleon” by Janell Burgess & originally conceived & choreographed by Christine Baltes in 1987. This masterful work of art has not been seen live onstage since 1992. This evening’s event will also feature a section from the powerhouse Latin jazz ballet, “Santana Suite,” with music by Carlos Santana, featuring a cast of 6 company members including Aoi Aihara, Janell Burgess, Alfonso Fuentes, Jeni Jones, Karli Padilla, and Erica Villalpando. 

 Audience members at this performance will have a unique opportunity to interact with the dancers and provide pivotal feedback that will help strengthen and refine the works for JSDC’s 2024 season.  Wine, cheese, and refreshments will be served at this evening’s event, along with a showing of a dance film.
